After years of delays due to covid and other challenges.
My 1959 model Unimog S 404.1 is completed at the Unimog workshop Atkinson Vos in the UK.
It was an over the top project, and is likely one of the worlds nicest Unimog 404s.
At Atkinson Vos i put around 38000gbp (44000+ Eur) exclusive of VAT into the restoration :O
All work is documented with specified bills.
In addition there is the cost of the mog, international transports etc.
My 404 was never ever intended for sale, but a little baby girl changed my priorities.
Giving a lucky buyer the chance of a lifetime at a great mog for what i think is a favorable price.
There will probably never again be a 404 this well equipped and in this condition at this price tag.
Pretty much the only thing not fully redone is the cabin interior.
Data listed in ad is based on the Norwegian registration, it may be different numbers in other countries.
In Norway the road authorities only need to verify the installations by technical control, and then it will be approved with the new:
1. The 140HP M130 motor from an S class.
2. Hydraulic Servo steering.
Price of 18500 eur is from Atkinson Vos in England.
It can be delivered elsewhere, but there will be:
+ shipping costs
+ VAT
+ duties, if your country has import duties.
The 404 have many costly upgrades.
It is likely among the nicest and best equipped Unimog S 404 in the world:
Highlights:
1. 140HP Mercedes M130 engine completely restored by the person it was bought from.
Very costly upgrade to fit in the mog by Atkinson. Even though the M130 is a period correct engine for the very similar 404.0, it is not 100% bolt in.
2. The rare 2 extra low crawl gears.
3. Hydraulic Power Steering (Very costly upgrade at Atkinson)
4. Rear 3t Sepson PTO WINCH.
5. Front Warrior Samurai 9 ton electric winch.
6. Snow plough with air controlled plough lift.
7. Webasto gasoline heater. (Pricy addition)
8. Roll bar in cab.
9. Detachable custom made ball tow hitch.
10. New LED head lights.
11. Storage box on cargo bed.
12. New exhaust, fuel lines, brakes, etc.
13. Overhauled gearbox, transmission etc to make it top condition.
14. Fully sandblasted and repainted.
And much more.
I have a job where answering the phone may be a challenge without a meeting planned.
But i'm usually easily available on email.
