The Buchanka was built to my liking by me and Caucasus Camper Construction 2020 in Georgia. The basis is the UAZ double cab with platform 2.7 liter petrol engine and now just 8,500 km. All-wheel drive and reduction can be switched on, manual locks in front. The winch in the massive bumper can be converted into a table and hammock. The camper masters every terrain and has taken us everywhere so far. The camper masters gravel roads and passes 2,900 meters to Tusheti or off-road adventurers in the Vashlovani National Park in Georgia. Please find out more about the car beforehand - it is and will always be a Buchanka :-) The adventures have of course also left scratches, unfortunately this cannot be avoided.

The frame of the double cab was lengthened, reinforced, raised and stronger springs and tires were installed. The rear drum brakes were also replaced with disc brakes. Even if the camper weighs 2,970 kg, it can climb any mountain. But he has never been fast :-) The large alcove cabin has a passage to the driver's cab. The alcove is 200x200 cm, the seating group can be converted into a bed/couch 115x200 cm. The wet cell has a shower and a TTT (dry separating toilet) and sufficient space and storage space. Under the cab in the frame is a 130 liter fresh water tank and a 45 liter gray water tank. When filling and removing water, the water is filtered in 6 stages. Water can be filled at any clean river with a hose and pump. The kitchen has a two-burner gas cooker (Thetford), a large refrigerator with freezer compartment (109 liters Dometic), a spice cabinet with additional work surface, a sink with a pull-out faucet. There is also a wardrobe with enough space for 2-4 people. An electroblock and charge controller from Schaudt charge the 400 Ah LIFO battery with 480 watts of solar power. Even a 500 watt inverter can operate devices with 230 volts. An Elgena boiler 12v 6 liters provides hot water for the shower and sink. On cold days, a petrol heater warms the body. Large windows and huge skylights from Dometic let natural light into the expedition vehicle. The camper is as self-sufficient as possible. We haven't seen a campsite or electricity connection in the past 3 years :-)
