It is not easy to understand how Mercedes-Benz named their Unimogs that they build in Germany. For example, it is common to say a Unimog 406, which means a Unimog truck that is refered to his model series. When we say an Unimog U1300, we refer to the type of Unimog.

To make things as clear as possible so that you know a bit more about the oldtimer Unimogs and the newer build vehicles of Daimler-Benz we made you an overview of the so called “Unimog Baureihen“.

The overview order of the Unimog models is based partly on the year of construction.

So we, Expeditionmeister, hope to make things clear about Unimog types so that you can buy the ideal used or new Mercedes Unimog that you have been looking for. Have a look at all the occassions worldwide that are for sale.

Unimogs from the same serie can differ a lot in price. This depends on the state of the vehicle, the features suchs as hydraulics and camperboxes and the location of the truck. The vehicle has its origin in Germany Gaggenau. So finding a Unimog in South America or the United States will be more difficult. The price will be higher on average because of the transport and import costs.

Other aspects suchs as a convertible cabin or a so called Doka (double cabin) can raise the price of an Unimog. The reason behind this is the rarity of these features.
